My recent posts have been written to showcase some of the songs on my 40 songs retrospective AFTER THE DAM BROKE.
I’m not done with that yet, however …
A good friend pointed out that, while he understood my intent, living in the past is not something I ordinarily do and some people might like to know what I’m doing now.
Well, I do have a bagful of new songs that aren’t recorded yet and will expose you to those in due course.
In the meantime, here are two songs that were recorded with Bruce Lynch in the Boathouse in Auckland, New Zealand, a few years ago but never officially released. In that sense they are largely unheard.
I hope you enjoy them.
The fool
And Back Again
I enjoyed both songs and look forward to hearing more of what’s in your bag.
Really like the first song except for ‘ the fool ‘ could that rather be ‘ the man ‘ ? the song is catchy ! not so keen on the 2nd song though, a bit too meloncholy for me, but thanks for posting, and looking back to things we’ve done is always useful and necesary from my perspective, as there is always new ways to see and hear ourselves, change, re arrange, re form, re invent, and to acknowledge our strengths and imperfections ! Cheers John !
